Meet your Barjanka captain Ales Bašić
You will not find a better person to be your captain in Ljubljana. Along with friendly and kind personality, Ales has an enormous knowledge and love towards Ljubljana and Ljubljanica river, that you can hear from his every sentence on Barjanka boat. He will give great insight into Ljubljana’s history and presence in a fun way. He’s biggest asset is his lifelong experience. He was born and raised in the old part of Ljubljana and he has been living here all of his life. He will even show you the location of his house, just 100 meters from your tour’s starting point, where he lives with his beautiful wife and two kids. If you have any questions about Ljubljana and the locals, he will be happy to explain in his own humorous way.

Barjanka
The journey of Barjanka boat tour Ljubljana began 15 years ago with the construction of our first ship Barjanka. The ship was named after Ljubljansko barje Nature Park (Ljubljana Marsh), which we usually visit on our private picnic tour. This unique boat still ensures a genuine sightseeing experience, gracefully cruising the picturesque waters of Ljubljanica river.

Ekvorna
Few years ago Barjanka got a “sister” boat named Ekvorna, bigger and stronger ship. With two sightseeing ships now navigating Ljubljanica River, our fleet was established and our happiness was overwhelming! For your private tour, you can chooose between Barjanka and Ekvorna. Both are excellent ships, with Ekvorna having a bit bigger capacity.
